Smart molecules are the most effective substances developed in cancer diagnosis and treatment in recent years. These molecules detect or irradiate the cancerous tissue inside the body. Smart molecules targeting various cancers have been developed.
PSMA with prostate, DOTATE, and neuroendocrine and thyroid cancers are detected by PET CT examinations after the attachment of these molecules to Ga-68. 
Later, these intelligent molecules bind to Lu-177 and are given to the patient through the vein, where only the tumor cells are irradiated.
For lutetium therapy, our patients need to stay in the hospital for 1 night in a room specially designed for this treatment. The treatment is applied in a special room with radiation protection. Lu - 177 is given in 30 minutes by slow infusion from the arm vein.

The treatment process is carried out under the supervision of experienced health personnel, nurses and specialists.
After 2 to 4 weeks of treatment with 6 to 12 week intervals, the response of patients to treatment with lutetium is assessed by Ga-68 PET-CT examination. If necessary, computed tomography (CT), ultrasonography (US) or magnetic resonance (MR) examination can also be performed for this purpose.
Standard lutetium 177 treatment is administered in 4 to 8 courses. It can vary according to the patient and disease condition.
