Mammography is a method that allows the breast to be filmed and to detect breast cancer at an early stage before it becomes apparent.

 

Screening with mammography to all women above a certain age in the community, trying to catch breast cancer at an early stage.

 

In this way, mammography for women who have no complaints in the community called, screening mammography.

 

Screening mammography is the most widely used breast cancer early diagnosis method in the world. It is recommended that every woman over the age of 40 get mammography until 70 years of age.

In high-risk patient situations, mammographic screening can be started at an earlier age, and breast cancer screening can be added to mammographic screening with tomosynthesis, ultrasonography and magnetic resonance.

 

In our center, breast cancer screening is performed with low-dose digital mammography devices with tomosynthesis technology. With tomosynthesis technology, one mm thin sections of the breast are removed and the chance of skipping breast cancer is reduced.
