He graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1987. He completed his specialist training at Zeynep Kamil Maternity and Children's Hospital between 1988 and 1993. After his specialization, he completed his compulsory service at Kars Maternity Hospital between 1993 and 1996. Then, he worked as a Child Health and Diseases Specialist at Beykoz State Hospital between 1996 and 1997. He continued his profession at Private Kartal Hospital and in his private practice between 1998 and 2009. He worked as a Child Health and Diseases Specialist at Private Delta Hospital between 2010 and 2021. He also worked as a Lecturer at Kent University Faculty of Health Sciences between 2017 and 2020.
