He was born on January 1961 in Zonguldak.  He studied primary and secondary school in Tokat and Edirne. He continued his high school education at Ankara Science High School between 1976-1978.
In the University Entrance Exam he was Turkey's seventh in science score.He won Istanbul University Istanbul Medical Faculty in the first degree.

During his university education, he received the Presidential Honor Scholarship because of being the first in Tübitak scholarship examination.
He did his internal diseases internship at Londra General Hospital.From October 1984 to July 1986 he completed his mandatory service as a practitioner in Siirt.

In 1986 he began his specialist training in Radiodiagnostik department of Haydarpaşa Numune Hospital.During his specialization, he worked as a rotator for 12 months on computer tomography, angiography and interventional radiology in Istanbul Medical Faculty Radiology Department.In August 1989, he became an expert in preparing the thesis titled "Intracranial Ultrasonography in Newborn and Milk".

In September 1989 he was appointed to the same hospital aschief physician Anadolu University Department of Business Administration, which he started in 1985, finished in 1989.
In October 1991 he received the title of associate professor in the field of Radiodiagnostik.In June 1993, he passed the examination of the Ministry of Health and was appointed as the chief delegate to the Haydarpaşa Numune Hospital Radiology Service.
He joined the Tabar Mammography course in San Diego in February 1995.
In September 1998, after passing the examination ofthe health ministry, he was appointed chief of the Radiology Department of Siyami Ersek Breast Cardiovascular Surgery.
In 2004, he received the title of Professor in Radiology.

He has 14 abroad and 33 domestic total of 47 pieces of published articles, 34 various congresses and symposium, speaking as a guest at the panel and courses,21 domestic declarations,  8 abroad and 48 domestic posters.There are chapter author in five books. Published articles have been cited as sources in over 20 foreign books and publications abroad. 
He is currently working as the Dean of Maltepe University Faculty of Medicine and Head of Radiology Department.
He is a member of Turkish Radiology Association, Medical Imaging and Venture Radiology Association.
