He was born on 14.12.1956 in Eskişehir. He graduated from Fenerbahce High School in 1975.
In 1982, he graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine.  He completed his compulsory service and Military Service between 1983 and 1988, completed the Specialization of Internal Diseases in Beyoğlu Hospital in 1993.
In 1997, he completed the specialization of the Department of Medical Oncology at the Istanbul University (Institute of Oncology).
Between 1997 and 2011 he worked as an Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology Specialist at Dr Lütfi Kırdar Educational Research Hospital.
He was Associate Professor in 2011.
